Faithful Living While Waiting for Christ’s Return

The sermon “The Parable of the Talents” (Matthew 25:14–30) reminds us that true readiness for Christ’s return is shown not by passive waiting but by faithful action and stewardship.

Jesus tells the story of a master who entrusts his servants with talents — large sums of money — before going away. Two servants invest and multiply what they’ve received, while one hides his talent. When the master returns, he rewards the faithful but rebukes the idle one.

This parable teaches us about responsibility, trust, and faithfulness.

Each believer has been given unique gifts and opportunities. What matters is not how much we have, but how faithfully we use it for God’s glory.

🔹 Key lessons:

Readiness for Christ’s return means faithfulness in daily life.

God measures faithfulness, not results.

Fear and passivity show a lack of trust.

Living faith always expresses itself in action.

🔹 Reflection questions:

What has God entrusted to you personally?

Are you serving Him out of gratitude or fear?

Does your faith bear fruit in your actions?

📖 Key Scriptures:

Matthew 25:14–30; Luke 19:11–27; Romans 12:6–8; Colossians 3:23–24; James 2:17

🙏 Call to action:

Be a faithful servant in whatever God has placed in your hands.

Use your gifts — not for reward, but out of love for your Master.
