Why Do We Sing in Church?

Singing is an important part of the life of the church. But why do we sing together? Is it simply a tradition, the musical part of a worship service, or a way to create a certain atmosphere?

Singing in church is more than music. It is corporate worship, the proclamation of God’s truth, spiritual instruction, and the unity of God’s people.

When the church sings, we are not simply performing a song. Together, we remind ourselves who God is, what He has done, and whom we believe in.
