Oil for the Last Hour
The sermon “The Parable of the Ten Virgins” (Matthew 25:1–13) reveals Jesus Christ’s powerful message about spiritual readiness for His return.
Through the story of ten bridesmaids — five wise and five foolish — Jesus shows that external religion without the inner life of the Holy Spirit cannot save.
This is not just an ancient wedding story — it’s a spiritual wake-up call for every believer. The wise virgins had oil — a symbol of God’s presence and living faith — while the foolish ones missed their moment because they weren’t prepared.
🔹 Key insights:
True readiness means walking daily in fellowship with Christ.
You cannot “borrow” faith — your relationship with God must be personal.
The door of grace will not stay open forever.
Jesus calls us: “Be watchful, for you do not know the day or the hour.”
This sermon invites you to examine your heart: Do you have oil in your lamp? Is your faith alive and burning?
📖 Key Scriptures:
